During a flight from northern Norway to Sylt in Denmark, they lost direction and had to make a forced landing in the Skjørafjord. The weather was rough and one of the pontoons broke off during the landing.

Vorpstranda
The crew jumped into the rubber dinghy and rowed towards Vorpstranda while the badly damaged aircraft drifted past
the Joskjørholmen island and sank.

The crew and all four passengers were brought to the house at Vorpstranda.
One of them was badly wounded and died shortly after.

Crew: Lt.Hans Otto Reichfreiherrn von Landsberg-Velen (died). Fw.Sigfried Pahlitzen (wounded). Uffz.Georg Reichert (wounded). Fw.Heinrich Wiese (wounded).
Passengers on leave: Fw.Politsch (wounded). Uffz.Theim (wounded).
Gefr.Habicht (wounded). Fw.Khan (unhurt).

The next day they were fetched by the aircraft support vessel "Hans Albrecht Wessel"
and brought to Trondheim. According to locals the aircraft was riddled with bullet
holes and the Germans told they were being shot at.

The aircraft was raised in the 1950's and sold as scrap.
