Took off from Great Dunmow airfield on a mission to drop weapons and equipment to D-12 in Hakadal. Around midnight the aircraft became engaged in an air combat with several German night fighters from Kjevik. The burning Stirling crashed into a litle hill called Lusa and exploded.
