The plane was on a reconnaissance flight in Salla area when it was attacked by an enemy fighter. Only Lt.Kauko Hyytiäinen managed to bail out from the burning aircraft. He was found by a Finnish ski patrol the next day. The wreckage and bodies of the remaining crew were recovered in june 1940. Lt.Erkki Alanen (kia). Gunner Paavo Kaurto (kia).
