Took off on a met recce flight from Vaernes airport, Trondheim. When they approached the cloud covered island of Jan Mayen they crashed into a hillside. All onboard lost their lives. Oblt. Werner Köhler. Wd Insp Heinrich Beuck. Fw.Günther Geerhahn. and
Ofw. Herbert Bunge . The wreck was discovered in 1958 and the bodies were recovered and buried at Narvik war cemetery.
